I think this is important for a lot of devs to learn. Working on agile teams, I've always seen devs in a hurry to pull in bonus work or do something for themselves instead of seeing if they could help the team finish the sprint tasks.

I think everyone starts off thinking they need to do a lot themselves to show their value and move up, but in reality it's helping everyone else that enables us to move up.
